The firm was founded in 1961 by Roger Blakemore and specialised in property conveyancing. Over the next 30 years we expanded into 14 small local practices offering local customers high quality legal advice across a range of areas. In 2002 Guy Barnett was appointed managing partner and led the firm through a major change programme. Firstly by scaling down the high street operation to concentrate on becoming a serious player in the Midlands market. By 2005 we had consolidated into 2 larger offices in Birmingham and Leamington Spa offering leading edge legal advice in: Personal injury, Property, Family law, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Wills, trusts and probate, Employment law and Immigration.
During the same period we'd improved our staff management and obtained Investors in People in 2003, including their prestigious work / life balance module. We'd also focused on case management and obtained Lexcel in 2004. Throughout this period of change, the firm’s business had grown by 20-30% each year and staff numbers had increased significantly. This growth and achievement was recognised in the Midlands market by being named as Birmingham Law Society Law Firm of the Year 2006 & 2007.
In 2010, the firm took the innovative step of launching one of the UK's first direct consumer marketing brands. ' Lawyers2you' does exactly as it promises, bringing lawyers and legal advice to the consumer on their terms, when, where and how they want it at a visible pre- agreed cost.

In 2011 the firm is still based in Birmingham [occupying the whole of Devonshire House] and Leamington [having moved to a substantially larger building in the town]. Our staff totals 17 Partners, 120 fee earners and around 120 support staff & Lawyers2you advisors.
